How to Set Up Your Sauna and Ice Bath
A Quick-Start Guide to Controls, Assembly, and Getting Your First Dip or Sweat Started
SAUNA Guide
1. Power On
Plug the unit into a dedicated wall outlet. Press the On/Off button once. The display should light up, showing the current internal temperature or the default settings.
2. Set Your Temperature
Use the Up and Down arrows next to the temperature readout to find your sweet spot.
Beginners: Start around 40°C – 45°C (104°F – 113°F).
Advanced: Most users aim for 50°C – 55°C (122°F – 131°F).
Note: The unit will take about 10–15 minutes to pre-heat. It’s best to zip it up while it warms up.
3. Set Your Timer
Use the Up and Down arrows next to the timer display to choose your duration.
Standard Session: 20–30 minutes is the "golden zone" for most recovery benefits.
Safety: The unit will automatically shut off once the timer hits zero.
4. Power Off
Once you’re finished, press the On/Off button to shut down the heating elements.
Pro-Tips for a Better Sweat
Hydration is King: Drink a full glass of water before you step in and keep a bottle nearby.
The Towel Trick: Place a small towel on the floor/seat of the unit to absorb sweat. This makes cleanup much faster and protects the material.
Cool Down: Don't hop straight into a freezing shower. Give your body 5 minutes to regulate its temperature naturally after you step out.
Maintenance: After the unit has cooled down, wipe the interior with a damp cloth and leave it unzipped for a while to air out.
Safety Reminder: If you start feeling lightheaded or uncomfortably dizzy, hit the power button and step out immediately. There's no prize for "toughing it out" through heat exhaustion!
1. Connection & Priming
Before hitting power, ensure your water lines are secure to avoid a "dry run" which can damage the motor.
Inlet/Outlet: Connect the hoses to the corresponding ports on your Ice Bath and the Chiller. Ensure the washers are flat to prevent leaks.
Prime the Pump: Ensure your ice bath is filled with water above the outlet port before turning the unit on.
2. Power On
Plug the unit into a GFCI-protected outlet (safety first with water!). Flip the main power switch on the back/side, then press the On/Off button on the control panel.
3. Set Your Temperature
Use the Up and Down arrows to set your target chill.
Beginners: Start at 10°C – 12°C (50°F – 54°F).
Advanced: Most seasoned "plungers" aim for 3°C – 5°C (37°F – 41°F).
Display: The screen will usually toggle between your target temp and the current water temp.
4. Set Your Timer (Optional)
If your model includes a runtime timer, use the Up and Down arrows next to the clock icon.
Most users leave the chiller running until the target temperature is reached, then set it to run for 1–2 hours a day to maintain cleanliness and temperature.
How to Unlock the Chiller Pro Interface
The Chiller features an automatic safety lock that engages after 30 seconds of inactivity. When the screen is locked, the buttons will not respond to single taps.
The Unlock Sequence
To regain control of the settings:
The Combo: Press and hold the Arrow Down (▼) and the Power Button simultaneously.
Duration: Hold both for approximately 3 to 5 seconds.
The Signal: The display will beep or the "Lock" indicator will turn off, signaling that the interface is now active.
When to Use This
Adjusting Temperature: You must unlock the screen before the Up/Down arrows will change your target chill.
Setting the Timer: The timer functions are disabled until this combo is entered.
Powering Down: If the unit is locked, the power button alone won’t turn it off—you must unlock it first.
Chiller GUIDE
Pro-Tips for Maximum Chill
Airflow Matters: Keep the chiller at least 12 inches away from walls. It breathes out hot air to make the water cold; if it’s cramped, it will overheat and work less efficiently.
Keep it Covered: Always keep the lid on your ice bath while chilling. An uncovered tub loses "coldness" to the air, making your chiller work twice as hard.
The 24-Hour Rule: If you just received the unit or moved it, let it sit upright for at least 4 hours before turning it on. This allows the refrigerant gases to settle (similar to a fridge).
Filter Maintenance: Rinse your paper or mesh filter once a week. A clogged filter is the #1 reason for "Low Flow" errors.
Safety Reminder: Never operate the chiller while you are actually inside the bath. Power the unit off before you step in to ensure total electrical safety.
